Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
1. Who we are
Junisignal is a multi-tenant WhatsApp messaging platform built on the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API. We provide businesses with tools to send one-time passwords (OTP), broadcasts, customer service replies, and AI-assisted chatbot messages.
Access may be limited to invited or internal customers while the product is rolled out. This Privacy Policy still applies to how we handle data for those customers and the people they message.
Privacy contact: support@junipayments.com
2. Whose data we process
- Customer operators: people who sign in to a Junisignal account dashboard (admins, developers, agents).
- Business customers: organizations that use Junisignal to connect WhatsApp and send messages.
- End users: people who receive or send WhatsApp messages through a customer's connected number (for example OTP recipients or inbox contacts).
3. Information we collect
Depending on how the platform is used, we may collect:
- Account and profile details such as name, email address, role, and authentication data (including hashed passwords and two-factor settings).
- Business account details such as account name, billing status, and WhatsApp channel configuration.
- WhatsApp-related identifiers and metadata needed to deliver and route messages (for example phone numbers, message IDs, delivery status, and conversation windows).
- Message content required to provide the service (OTP sends, templates, broadcasts, inbox replies, and bot replies), plus related media when customers send or receive it.
- Contact lists, segments, and attributes that customers upload or sync into Junisignal.
- Integration credentials such as API keys (stored hashed) and Meta access tokens or LLM keys (encrypted at rest).
- Technical and usage logs such as IP address, browser type, request metadata, audit events, and error diagnostics.
- Billing and payment-related information processed through our payment provider when billing is enabled.
4. How we get information
- Directly from customer operators when they create accounts, invite teammates, upload contacts, or configure integrations.
- From Meta / WhatsApp Cloud API when customers connect WhatsApp, sync templates, send or receive messages, or process webhooks.
- Automatically from the service as operators use the dashboard, API, and related systems.
- From payment and infrastructure providers that support hosting, email, storage, or billing.
5. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and improve Junisignal messaging features (OTP, broadcasts, inbox, chatbot, templates, and webhooks).
- Authenticate users, enforce access control, and keep accounts secure.
- Route Meta webhooks to the correct customer account and channel.
- Measure usage for product reliability and, where applicable, billing.
- Provide customer support and respond to privacy or data deletion requests.
- Comply with law and Meta platform policies, and prevent abuse or fraud.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use WhatsApp message content for advertising.
6. Sharing and processors
We share data only as needed to run the service:
- Meta / WhatsApp: to send and receive messages and manage WhatsApp Business assets on behalf of customers.
- Hosting and infrastructure: cloud hosting, databases, queues, and object storage used to operate Junisignal.
- Payment providers: such as Stripe, when billing is enabled.
- Email delivery: transactional email for invites, password resets, and similar notices.
- LLM providers: when a customer enables AI chatbot features (using a platform key or the customer's own key).
Customer operators only see data for accounts they belong to. Platform administrators may access tenant data only as needed to operate and support the platform.
7. Retention
We keep account, message, contact, and log data for as long as needed to provide the service to the customer, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. When an account is closed or a valid deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymize personal data that is no longer required, subject to backups and legal retention needs.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to a messaging platform, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), encryption at rest for sensitive credentials such as Meta tokens and BYOK LLM keys, hashing of API key secrets and passwords, session controls, and role-based access within accounts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we encourage customers to protect their own credentials and WhatsApp assets.
9. How to request deletion
You can request deletion of personal data associated with Junisignal. See our Data Deletion page for step-by-step instructions, or email support@junipayments.com.
End users who messaged a business through WhatsApp should usually contact that business first. We will work with the relevant customer account to honor valid requests.
10. Children
Junisignal is a business messaging platform and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International processing
Junisignal and its processors may store or process data in countries other than where you live. Where we do so, we take steps designed to protect the data in line with this policy and applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Junisignal after an update means the revised policy applies to that use.
13. Contact
